Scarring causing trouble

Tom, who is 70 and blind, has had a K pouch for 50 years. All of a sudden he is having major trouble passing his catheter. We may have to drive to Cleveland Clinic, but does anyone have a good doctor suggestion closer to middle Tennessee who could look at him. His regular md doesn’t know much about the workings of this pouch. I am extremely worried. Kathy

Both Vanderbilt (Nashville) and Duke (Durham, NC) are a lot closer, and have good colorectal surgeons. I don’t have a specific recommendation for a doctor, though. Good luck!
