Sandostatin- Anybody have any experience?

Hi folks- I'm 25 months post surgery and have tried just about everything to control frequency. I'm still fighting roaring runs and my doc has decided to try Sandostatin (Octreotide) Anybody out there have any thoughts on this or words of wisdom?
