Mr Dr recently asked If I wanted to try Salofalk suppositories as an alternative to another drug that I was using that is not available right now. Anyone have any input on how well this worked for them good or bad??
This is just another brand of mesalamine suppositories, so should work the same as Canasa. I think there are a number of members here who have used them. I think that brand is only available in Canada, and the UK.
For me, I have found that the Salofalk does nothing to help the pouchitis. I was on a two month course of antibiotics, which helped tremendously. But once off them, and only using the Salofalk, the pouchitis returned.
