Reversal surgery

I had my reversal surgery yesterday. I'm feeling well. I still haven't gone to the bathroom except to urinate. The doctor was just in and said that is normal and it will happen. He sad when it begins I will go a lot. They are going to Change my diet a little. I've only had clear liquids.

hi ceew, congratulations! Sounds totally normal. My first BM was in the evening the day after an early surgery, so almost 48 hours.

When you start going, use wet wipes or soft toilet paper or even better a squirt bottle to clean the skin around your anus. PAT do not WIPE. Protect your skin before it NEEDS to be protected!

Congrats on your final surgery! I suggest using some kind of barrier cream on your butt to keep the butt burn at bay. Start using it now before you start going for protection. If you didn't bring anything with you maybe they have something there in the hosptial. I like Calmopseptine the best. Others are Balmex, A&D or Desitin.
