How long you will need to be off work depends on what type of job you have. If you sit behind a desk and file your nails you can probably return faster than if you are a primitive logger... I think most people take 2-6 weeks, but check with your surgeon for his recommendation in your particular situation.

You may not have any issues with bowel control; I have never leaked at all since my take-down.

Just be sure you have plenty of soft toilet paper! Good luck on your take-down!

With my job I'm on my feet all day, it includes some heavy lifting and twisting....I'm not too keen on going back to work if I have a big wound/hole in my stomach!!
