Recently had my Jpouch repaired and had a temporary illeostomy for 6 months. Had a take-down on June 7. I'm still experiencing nausea, I have good output (thick liquidity) but sometimes I feel the need for milk of magnesia to get it going which is effective. The take town is harder then the illeostomy 6 months ago, which I don't understand. The Illeostomy worked very well, I gained a lot of weight and felt healthy. I'm not ready yet, but I've had thoughts of going back to an illostomy and wondering if that is a viable path if things don't improve and what that experience might be like.
Thanks a bunch

Yes I will wait now and see how it goes. I am feeling much better now. Found out I have Covid and as I was recovering from the surgery Covid came on hard with no clear line between them. The nausea and non-well feeling was rough . My pouch is starting and I'm eating real food again. Got the virus on the planes flying back from the surgery at Cleveland Clinic, I should have timed the antibody peak of a Covid booster to coincide with my surgery
