I've now had about 6-7 remicade infusions for chrohns. The first three made me fee so much better that I was thrilled and seemed to feel fine afterwards. But now I'm noticing I'm very, very fatigued for days following the infusion. I chalked it up to being run down but now I'm not so sure. I get my infusions on Friday nights and spend the entire weekend resting for Monday. This time, I wasn't any better by Monday and had to call in sick. After a shower, I was so exhausted, I couldn't even hold my arms up long enough to dry my hair. I flopped into bed with my wet hair and slept another 4 hours. My monthly blood tests are normal so I just can't figure out. Has anyone experienced this type of fatigue when taking Remicade?

I used to take Remicade for UC, but I stopped right before surgery to remove colon. I am in hosptal now for takedown. I have been off since August. The Remicade would make me feel like I was recharged, except the first day because I would take a Benadryl for precautionary allergy reaction. I would sleep for hours after the infusion. Are you taking too much Benadryl perhaps? I ended up tsking 1 indtead of 2 benadryl and 2 tylenol to help with fatigue from the benadryl. would definitely mention to your doctor too. Hope this helps you.
