Referral for GI doc in western CT

Hello, I will be moving to Western CT, (Danbury, Brookfield). I had UC for 30 years, complete proctocolectomy and pouch construction, 2000, pouch redo in 2001at CCF. I have had frequent small bowel obstructions from all the surgeries and I also need an GI doc with expertise in the J-pouch for annual pouchoscopies. I could go to NYC which is 2 hours away which is a trek but that may be the best option unless there is a doc either at Yale or in Danbury/Brookfield.

I go to Dr Ginsburg in Hampden and he has a office in Guildford as well. He’s amazing. I went to three doctors before I got to him. He helped me through remicaide, a trial drug and finally my j pouch (with a surgeon). He’s keeping me on track with everything from my vitamins, my bone density tests (i have decreased for my age bc of all the pred), working with my arthritis doc, and now I’m prego and he’s helping me through that. Not sure how far it would be for you, but I travel over an hour each way to see him. Good luck finding someone!
