My daughter had her rectum and jpouch removed due to complications of fistulas in Aug 2013. Has anyone else had this surgery? After a year her incision healed and now she has three holes that have opened and draining green fluid. After antibiotics they have started to heal although this has happened a few times now. The surgeon didn't see it while fluid was coming out. He referred to the holes as dimples or a belly button and the fluid as butt sweat and insists that the holes were never actually opened. Is it possible that her fistulas can grow back into her body? During surgery they cut the part of the intestine out where the fistulas originated leaving them to heal on there own where they were attached to her skin.

I had mine done four months ago.  I cannot get the bottom part of the incision to heal right at the public bone? First two times it was open.  Now it's sealed but I can tell it's infected.   Third time it has become infected.  Cut open twice bigger to heal.  Now I think I may have to do it again.  Not a good spot.

But this may not have anything to do with what's going on with your daughter.

Mine just is in a very thin skinned spot I guess.
