I am so confused. I stopped my Cipro for pouchitis, since I was told I don't have it anymore. The scope and an MRI confirmed it. So after about two weeks I started getting terrible pain right inside my rectum and I have started having issues of going more to the bathroom all day.

I was told after I had my MRI that I have inflammation. When I talked to the doctor we decided at that time since I wasn't having any issues then we just leave it but at that time I was on Cipro. But since I stopped the Cipro I am in pain.

What is there to do for inflammation? Is there some type of foam or cream. I know it is not a fissure because I had one of those and this doesn't feel like it at all. The doctor did say that if the inflammation cause any problems I would have to go on Flagyl. Well that makes me sick so I am asking for help. What should I go on or use.

This has been going on for about 2 weeks. I also have read that some people don't have there rectum but still have the jpouch. What could this be? I am still on all my meds and I am two years out from having my jpouch. Sometimes I wish I would have listened to the GI doctor just had the bag. He believes more in the bag then the jpouch. Now I see why.

Also, does anyone know if the insurance pays for the SIBO testing? I wonder if I have that also. I sure thought I would be doing better 2 years out. But I have learned to take one day at a time.

I do appreciate every ones help. I don't know what I would do with out this website. It truly is a blessing.
