Recommendations for surgeon at U Penn

Hi all. I have been suffering from UC for almost 4 years. I have only had a year of remission. My current flare has lasted a year and I can't get it under control. On a double dose of Remicade and just added 6 mp. I am looking into surgeons and was hoping someone has any experience with U Penn and a recommendation for a surgeon there. Thanks so much!

Hi- Totes When I had my surgery I was 17 so I was at CHOP for everything. My surgeon there was Dr Peter Mattei- by far one of the best physicians I have ever had the pleasure of working with. He is affiliated with Penn but he mainly does pediatric cases I believe for CHOP. He has the best bedside manner ever- would love to still go to him if i could. He's also always done an excellent job on all my surgeries. Now that Im 29 I recently used a new colorectal surgeon affiliated with main line health that helped out with my most recent surgery- Dr Robert Noone.
