You inspired me to go grain free, sugar free. It has been 2 weeks, it's been hard, it made me sick, I stayed strong. I'm hardly in the bathroom now. For 13 years I've lived with a very over acted pouch even when in a remission. I don't want to jinx myself but this is amazing. Ps I even cheat a little, lol I just hope I can keep it up. And I hope it continues to work. I am still using a half dose of Pentassa and canassa but Ive used these two in the past and still never had such good results. Just not totally ready to go med free but at least these r not bad meds.

allycat you made my day really!!i am so happy you gave it a complete go..its really all or nothing..your results i believe are real..i am maybe two months no antibiotics will stop counting now sure the starch carb free and no sugar(except fruit in my case, and whatever is in veggies )fyi i tried a bite of raw honey on an almond bread i make..reason..it was approved in scd...actully had some in my almond ingredience ..no negative effects..hold out you can do it!!!...just think what it means if you do not..keep it up!!!!!..i will give you easy receipe for almond bread i make if you want(easy i am not a cook)and when you keep it up(NOT IF) you can learn all the ways to satisfy your carb sugar needs because they are there..we just have to adjust... check out web site..digestive wellness.com for scd approved treats and cook books to make yummy things..

look i have not become perfect from the change i still go a fair amount but my goal was get off antibiotics if i could (because of severe pain, burning type thing)and i have..yours sounds like you are making gains in other ways because you are eliminating the foods that feed bad bacteria..helping the balance..no one including doctors denies this fact but it only is problem for people like us and other digestine /intestinal issues..

i am counting on you to use your good sense here..so happy for you..hope others will be encouraged to do it too..
