Hello,

I had UC and then Jpouch 5 years ago. I recently developed Raynaud's where my hands get really cold and sometimes my entire body. They say it is automimmune and do not know much else, saying stress can bring on an attack. It is an annoying to deal with, but not at all debilitating.

Having UC, an autoimmune disease, I wonder if there is a connection between that and Raynaud's?

Any thoughts is apprecaited.

Maybe, maybe not. They say that autoimmune disorders tend to cluster in a person, but Raynaud's is very common. I have it, but a pretty minor case. I am very sensitive to cold now, and never used to be. In the winter, I need to wear those gloves without fingertips while I am keyboarding, or my hands cramp up from the cold (yes, my house is heated!). I was also told by my rheumatologist to avoid caffeine and pseudofed, as they can trigger vasospasm.
