Hi all,
I have had my j-pouch since 2009 and last night into today, I'm bleeding when using the bathroom. I haven't eaten anything that would cause me such an issue (dairy or gluten). This is abnormal for me. I'm not in pain or anything, but I'm really scared and I don't know what to do. I'm going in for surgery tomorrow for something unrelated.

You haven’t described the quantity and distribution of blood, but the most common cause is hemorrhoids. You might read about hemorrhoids to see if your experience matches the description.
Other than hemorrhoids, cuffitis comes to mind. But, for cuffitis, I would expect you to also have pouchitis symptoms of frequent loose stools and urgency. Don’t panic. Not an emergency. Have you contacted your surgeon’s office to see if it might pose an issue? Not likely to be a reason to postpone or anything, but it might help you not be anxious about it.

While waiting for the doctor to call back, I would suggest eating Greek Yogurt, I suggested that to a few people on here that was bleeding and they said it worked. That might possibly help you? Definitely listen to Jan about calling the doctor though.
Is the blood dark red or bright red?
It's less than a teaspoon, like I'm not gushing or anything. I've had several regular non-bloody poops and then just now a bloody one but it is a lot less blood. It's bright red in colour. No pain, no urgency, no abnormal gas or smell. Just really freaks me out 
The surgery I'm having tomorrow is for my throat.
Also, thank you to everyone and anyone for a reply. I don't have any family or friends to turn to for support and a level head, so I really appreciate any help.
