On Friday evening I started getting liquid only output in my bag ( I had j pouch with loop ileostomy surgery about 5 weeks ago). I then started to get really bad abdominal cramps. This lasted until yesterday evening. Since then the pains have stopped but my bowel feels tender. I am getting a lot of gas and still very liquid output. Yesterday I hardly had any solid foods, just fluids but today I am eati again.
I stopped taking Imodium during the blockage epsiode but generally does it take a few days for things to go back to normal after a blockage?
