Hi Holly! I have been following your posts because we had our takedown surgery at the same time. My surgeon prescribed lomotil fairly early on because of my frequency. I take two tablets 30 minutes to one hour before meals. I also take a Pepcid with it. The combination really helps with frequency and butt burn. At bedtime, I take two Immodium (2mg) gel capsules and a Levsin tablet. Sice I started that combination, I haven't been getting up during the night to use the bathroom! I am so pleased with my progress. I was told. It to take lomotil and Immodium at the same time. Not sure why? I currently average about 4-6 bowel movements a day now. Now and again I have moe, especially if I eat something that doesn't agree with me. I continue to be very careful about what I eat but every once in a while, I have a problem. I had my second post-op visit with my surgeon a few weeks ago. She was amazed at how well I'm doing. She said that she does'nt need to see me until next March for a scope, unless of course I'm experiencing any problems. I'm getting ready to take my first vacation with my new pouch. I will be flying to California and doing a lot of driving to visit family. Hope you are doing well!
