Quality Life Association (QLA) 2022 on demand conference video discussions on continent ileostomies

I strongly suggest anyone who has a k-pouch, j-pouch or anyone considering which option may be best for them, go to the QLA(Quality Life Association) website: www.qla-ostomy.org

and look into viewing their on demand virtual conferences. The most recent virtual conference is from September 2022 that had  5 Continent Ileostomy surgeons that go into details with pretty much everything from creating, that can go wrong, treatments and options that many may not even be aware of. A big focus is to educate medical personnel everywhere the importance of learning and teaching the k-pouch.as well as the J-pouch   I’ve have my k-pouch for 45 years, needed several revisions and will do whatever it takes to keep. The organization does ask a minimum of $35 to view , a small price indeed for the incredible wealth of knowledge. They have these conferences yearly which aside from the pandemic years, are in person for those who wish to do that. As a long timer, I was impressed and always learn more every time I've watched and listened to the surgeons who do these life saving procedures.  Debby S
