Hi everyone,

Having  to go to the bathroom all the time.

Managing with immodium twice a day, psyllium organic powder three times a day and one tramadol once a day in the afternoon when output is very high.

Just had a scope and everything looked good.  Doctor also requested stool samples which showed low, 76 (normal is 200 mcg) pancreatic elastase.

now I am wondering if all the psyllium could cause that.
He prescribed Creon, which I don’t want to take because of the side effects.

any thoughts will be highly appreciated.

thank you

I don’t think the psyllium is likely to be responsible. If your stool frequency is due to poor fat digestion then the Creon could help you feel better. The dose is supposed to be adjusted over time to be right for you, so hopefully there’s a plan for that. I’m not sure what potential side effects are particularly concerning to you, but you can always stop the medication if it makes you feel worse instead of better.
