Hi all,
It's been a while since I posted on here. To give some
background on myself. I have a permanent Ileostomy and in good health. I had an Ileostomy in 2002 due to UC and my J-pouch from 2005-2010. Without doubt my worst bout of illness was when I had my J-pouch, so I haven't looked back since I decided to get a permanent Ileostomy.
I am currently doing some training, light weights and running. Running distance is no more than 10KM. However I am looking to gain muscle mass but I am hesitant using protein products. To date I've had 7 ops in total and I don't want to jeopardise my current good health for the sake of putting on muscle.
Will using protein products cause issues for me? Should I look to make natural protein shakes?
Any advise/tips would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
