What is the safest treatment for prostate cancer, my Gleason score is a 7 ? I have j-pouch.

What does your urologist/oncologist tell you? Having a j-pouch is secondary. Prevention of future spread should be the priority. Your Gleason score is a sum and it can mean different things. Other factors, like your age factor in too.
If you are most concerned about your j-pouch, hormone therapy could be a good start. But, you need all options laid out for you. Prostate removal is not always the first or best option.

My husband had surgery vs radiation. He still has his colon and we were concerned about possible radiation damage to his rectum. After being married to someone with rectal disease....he didn't want to chance it. Long way of saying ask about the potential dangers to your j-pouch when deciding.
