Prostate biopsy

Has anyone had a prostate biopsy the regular way through the Jpouch rectally the way they would through the colon? My PSA is high enough that they want to do a biopsy but I fear that the incision or punch or whatever they do through the pouch might hurt it. Comments or help anyone?

Mark, this question has come up in the past and there shouldn't be any problem doing a biopsy that way. But I would check with your surgeon if you have concerns.

When I had a physical several years ago, the doc was causing so much pain when he tried to check my prostate that he stopped the procedure and told me to go to my GI.
