HELP! I have had a j pouch since 1998. I have had may bouts of pouchitis and other related problems. I had a blockage while pregnant that finally passed.
We have moved 10 times and I have not been the best about getting a new doc every time I move. I became extremely sick in 2010 and after many tests, it was discovered I had two small holes at the top of my pouch. Leakage into my tail bone was the biggest issue.
For the past week, I have had extreme belly pain and hardness. I can feel lumps in my stomach. I treated it at home like a blockage. When it never got better, i went to the ER. They were idiots! They did a CT and said there was no blockage. There seems to be stool but do not see any blockage. Then I was given a rectal and the doc told be there was not an impaction, in fact no stool at all. They sent me home with mag citrate and I was able to go to the restroom. NO RELIEF. My stomach is still protruded and hard. It is so painful. I feel like I have acid reflux and indigestion. I can not pass gas at all! I feel like the pouch is not working. Very little if any stool is coming out and it is even causing back pain.
Not sure what is going on!
