I would like to point out that it is not exercise per se that prevents blood clots, but simply movement does. Or, more correctly, being sedentary is what promotes clots. So it is important to get up and simply move around every hour or so. This is particularly important when flying on long flights or driving long distances, when we tend to sit longer than usual.

I did not want people to think that they need to perform any particular “exercise” to prevent blood clots. A daily walk is great as an all over exercise and also good for mental health/well being.
