First, I have to say how thankful I am to be pregnant after IVF and would take all of the discomfort x 1000 to be here. But I kinda wanted to commiserate with others who have been through this.

I am at 22 weeks and growing so rapidly. I'm not gaining any weight though, but the baby seems to be fine. The main problem is that I feel like the baby is sitting right on my j-pouch and rear end. I feel so much pressure down there, both abdominally and in my butt, that I can't get off the toilet, even though I don't really have to go. Which is then tearing me apart and making me really sore! I am afraid to move or stand up because when I do the pressure increases so much.

Anyone else?

Is it possible you have pouchitis? Very common to get when you are pregnant making you feel like you have to go even when you don't have to. Like you said, it very well could be the pressure of the baby, but if you are experiencing loose stools and frequent trips to the bathroom, pouchitis could be the cause. Hopefully the weight will shift soon and you will get some relief!

It's just all part of the fun of being pregnant. Mine was a high baby boy and he spent most of the last 4 months with his foot kicking me in my upper rib cage and interfering with my ability to breathe, sleep, drive a car, etc. because of the back cramps he caused me.

Try getting in a pool as often as you can. It relieves ALL pressure and feels so, so good. You move just like a non-pregnant person in the water.
