Hi Jpouch People -
I am a quite member who has had great success with my jpouch which is now 5 years old. Went to the GI for a check and decided it is time to do a pouchoscopy to just check things out which was done this morning. Everything has been great besides my jpouch being a bit louder since I had a c-section 6 months ago so they wanted to see what is going on.
Here are my results of my report. It seemed like my GI was surprised that i was feeling as well as I am. i was awake and they pointed out all the ulcers. Do I have chron's and they just are waiting for the biopsy results? Obviously i have pouchitis but is it more than that?
Any insight would be greatly appreciated as I dont want to wait on pins and needles for 2 weeks!
Results:
- ulcer in ileal pouch
-ulcer in ileum
-ulceration in the distal pouch
-ulceration near opening to the ileum
-scatterd apthous ulcers in ileum
The GI put me on entocort and flagyl to treat the pouchitis. Oh and VSL#3.
Thanks so much for your help!
