Hello All,
I had my pouchogram this morning and the radiologist told me that I had no strictures or leaks.
My next step is to schedule reversal surgery with surgeon several weeks from now.
I know it’s probably been discussed here before but what are the early days with the jpouch like after takedown?

Congratulations! Everybody's experience is different, my experience: lots of fatigue, lots of bowel movements( around 40), lots of weight loss, lots of leakage with accidents when sleeping- USE DIAPERS, lots of excruciating butt burn- GET CONVATEC SENSI SKIN BARRIER CREAM, lots of decrease sleep!!
After getting use to it, BMS decreased by half, better quality of life, still less sleep 
but I am at peace almost 7 years later

I had a lot of issues with butt burn and pain in the anal area from gas. I ate lots of mashed potatoes, which helped thicken things up. It's a lot of trial and error. Luckily I never had to wear diapers. I had one accident in bed, but it wasn't a huge deal (just a bit and I was able to run the bathroom).
I never really lost weight. Like Lauren said, everyone is different. It sucks at first, but even though I'd rather have a healthy colon, I'm much happier now.
