I have had nocturnal leakage for about 1-1/2 months. I have also had success in stopping the leakage by taking Advil.

Now, I have a problem..... Yesterday, I had severe diarrhea and dehydration, my BM's were very dark in color and I had a significant amount of night time leakage.

Today, I ate lunch had a BM and I had a significant amount (not just a small dab) of blood (bright red in color). Reminded me of my Chronic Proctitis symptoms.

Called my doctor, explained my symptoms for the past 2 months, also explained that I have periodically taken my temperature when I have increased frequency and it is always 99.5. I also explained that I have NO PAIN (none at all).

Doctor immediately prescribed Flagyl and I have an appointment to see him tomorrow afternoon.

Is blood dripping (not just spotting) during a BM a symptom of pouchitis?

As I said, I do not have pain and it most definitely is not a hemmorrhoid.

Well, Flagyl isnn't the usual way of evaluating possible hemorrhoids, but if the bleeding stops promptly after starting Flagyl the hemorrhoids are a much less likely explanation.

Hemorrhoids don't have to bleed every time. They're just basically swollen, exposed, fragile veins. When we bear down to poop (which varies by person and by consistency), we increase the swelling a bit, and sometimes they bleed - the amount can vary a lot.
