These past few days, most of my stools have just been plain water that comes out, although I've been eating a lot of solid foods and breads. That's how it started out a few days ago. However, from yesterday, after I eat, I'd have urgency (there was no need to run to the restroom like my UC days). I normally sleep through the night but I woke up during midnight needing to go. Before I went to the restroom, there were abdominal cramps but not bad. I thought I'd be letting out a lot of gas and stool but when I went, it was only watery stool that came out and no gas. When I had UC, I'd feel a bit nauseous right before I needed to go to the bathroom. It's what I felt during the night and early morning but not nearly as bad as UC days.

I thought of going to see my surgeon today but thought I'd give it another day to see if there's actually something going on or if this is a temporary thing. It's hard to distinguish what's normal after getting a jpouch.

Could it just be a bacteria causing this and can there be something done if I take in some probiotics (yogurt)? Or could it be pouchitis?

I do have appetite - not as much as before, though.

Sounds like a blockage.

They can take a few days to become apparent sometimes. But if you are eating a variety of food, yet only watery liquid is passing, then that food's gotta be somewhere....

Eating yogurt and probiotics is always good. But I don't know if I would assume right away that bacteria is your immediate problem. In my experience, blockages have been physical - meaning I ate too much fibrous stuff at once, without chewing good, like oranges.

Certainly inflammation can cause them too, so don't dismiss pouchitis, torsion, or or other inflamation type obstruction.

It's all possible, but it will probably pass.

You know, I ask myself this question all the time since my output is normally very watery and seems like it rarely has solids in it. I eat a ton of food so seriously, where does all the fibrous matter go?? I guess it's just dissolved or in suspension in the water that I'm not absorbing.
Thanks, guys, for all your comments.

It's hard to know what's normal when you have a pouch. I'm also the same way. I get watery stools most if the time bland eat a lot if veggies and protein but I also question where all the food goes...??

I ended up seeing my surgeon Friday. He wasn't there so another new surgeon saw me and he prescribed probiotics. He figured since there was no fever that I should be ok with just probiotics.

The next day, though, I was nauseous and hadn't eaten so this time I went to see my regular GI and he just gave me some IV for dehydration and did some blood tests and said it showed only a tiny bit of inflammation (CPR level 1.6) and gave me loxonin (loxoprofen) for my headache and released me.
I was able to eat soft noodles and steamed stuff but during the night, I had leaked and after coming back to bed I had such bad chills. Even with the heating pad on, I took my temperature and it was 101 F. After about 2 hours, my fever started slowly decreasing. I get paranoid when these things happen because I don't know what's normal. Loxoprofen is a pretty strong med...could that have caused more inflammation that caused chills..? I feel much better now but still feel a bit cold.

On another hand, I recently bumped my head on the right side when trying to grab a box from the storage and get headaches from time to time..That couldn't have possibly caused my chills..?

Sorry I'm all over the place...ugh I meet with my GI Monday again.
