After 22 painful years with my W Pouch I decided to go back to ileostomy 3 years ago.
The pouch was left in situ in case I wanted to go back to the W pouch.
I don’t.
However the reason I returned to my ileostomy was because I could no longer cope with pouchitis, but I continue to have it.
I’m in hospital tonight from symptoms of nausea, fatigue, bloody mucus and lots of it, and of course pain and cramps.
Damned if I kept my W pouch, and damned if I didn’t.
