I had my jpouch done 2.5 yrs ago. It hasnt been so good with 5-7 bms per day but 6-8 at night.

I have a good read on my body and asked to have my pouch checked not from the inside ( which was already done) but from the outside- I did a scanner with my pouch filled with a special liquid - they then realised that my pouch was small.

I am now going to do a manometry in high resolution ( they measure the inside of your pouch as to determine its capacity to contain (  mgs, mls, etc)

My question is has anyone ever gone through a "redo" of their pouch to enlarge it? is it risky and can it end up with a permanent stoma? As well if someone is aware of this operation when they redo the pouch does it become a two step operation  meaning redo, stoma 2 months and then reconnect?

thanks

bruno
