Hello Lovely Ladies,

I am doing my first ivf cycle and have the egg retrieval today. So far things have been alright in that I have (amazingly) responded like they expect. Since my body has never been super cooperative this has been nice.

Anyway, as they tell you to expect I am feeling bloated. I am curious though if other people's pouches responded to this badly? In the last day or so mine has been grouchy (increased frequency, feelings of needing to go when not much is there, looser then usual etc). Is this what other people experienced when you all did the stimulation phase? Also, how did your bodies response to the stimulation related to your body's response to the pregnancy?

You all are such an excellent resource, I know I would benefit from hearing about your experience!

First of all, I hope your egg retrieval went amazing! Congrats on that big of a step! I did IVF in August of 2014 and am actually doing another transfer in March of this year. I am not much help with how pregnancy goes (yet), however my pouch had similar symptoms as well, which does not help with as huge as your ovaries can get. I had increased frequency, and overall discomfort. If there are any questions you have at all please feel free to ask! My pouch recovered pretty quickly after my ovaries decreased in size a little.

Good luck and I hope you get amazing news soon!

I just went through my first (Failed) round of IVF in Dec. I did not experience any issues with my pouch related to stims. I did suffer from constipation from the pain medicine, but other than that all else was fine. I am going in next week to get Essure, because it is very likely that my IVF failed due to the fluid in my tubes.  If you have any questions feel free to ask.
