does anyone know if it can be tacked back up lapro? Last time it was done by cutting open but might have been done that way b/c he felt there was scar tissue causing the bowel obstruction and when opening up did find bowels attached to parts of female parts. think it has come undone again. Reason I think that is I only had relief a couple of mnths. after surgery.

Hi Kk,
I have a k pouch but have had my valve prolapse out of my pouch on a few occasions(mine was due to peristomal hernias)...initially my pouch surgeon tried open surgery but in the long run the problem returned...then my surgeon here who is a specialist in laporoscopic surgeries did it that way and it held nicely (have had to have a few done that way)...
basically he says that most of 'that' sort of surgery can be done this way...you may need a specialist or at least have your pouch surgeon consult with someone who does them.
I am having my pouch tacked back up in the not so distance future...wouldn't do it any other way.
