pouch prolapse

Hi Kk,
I have a k pouch but have had my valve prolapse out of my pouch on a few occasions(mine was due to peristomal hernias)...initially my pouch surgeon tried open surgery but in the long run the problem returned...then my surgeon here who is a specialist in laporoscopic surgeries did it that way and it held nicely (have had to have a few done that way)...
basically he says that most of 'that' sort of surgery can be done this way...you may need a specialist or at least have your pouch surgeon consult with someone who does them.
I am having my pouch tacked back up in the not so distance future...wouldn't do it any other way.

Yes they can, though sometimes due to adhesions or scar tissue it may not allow them to, as being you've had surgery they will try I'm sure to do it.......if your life gets in danger they will open you up.
