I'm 3 weeks post take-down, and I am still feeling nauseous. I am also feeling practically every move my bowels are making, and a lot of times its uncomfortable/painful.

I had a small bowel obstruction just before my take-down and needed an NG tube for a week after the surgery since my bowels took a long time to wake up.

Are these feelings normal? or could something be wrong?

As rough as it feels, especially the frequency, it is completely normal. I questioned my decision for surgery 1 week post-op. As you start to heal, scar tissue forms and can develope its own nerve endings and blood supply. The only thing I can suggest is try stay limber. It will cut down on adhesions and reduce further injuries due to tears (as long as you ease into the streches) I used a swiss
ball and it was a GREAT help. Also you are at three weeks post-op, give it time. Try going on light walks get some fresh air and sunlight. About three weeks is when I had issues with scar tissue. I didn't sleep for nearly two days straight b/c of pain. give it another week, I promise you will feel better than you do today.
