Hi,

Ive had my J Pouch for 12 years with no bouts of Pouchitis.....until recently. My guess is a bad piece of hospital chicken at 1 a.m. Started the spiral. It felt like 2 days of food poisoning (but I'm not an expert on that, nor the initial symptoms of Pouchitis) followed by a week of feeling awful (felt like a bout of UC, just without the blood) until I got onto see doc.  Fast forward, post antibiotics, doc prescribed both Cipro and flagyl. Now I'm 1 week post antibiotics and have things going on I've never had problems with before, most notably night time incontinence. Sometimes it's just liquid dumping, sometimes stool. I'm getting tired of changing Jammies and sleeping on a towel! Any ideas?

Thank you so much everyone. I did do a stool sample to test for c-diff (waiting for results) and doc put me back on cipro and Flagyl again, 500 mg each 2x/day for 20 days. 5 days into 2nd round, still feeling punk, think maybe the antibotics are making me nauseated.  Have call in for Zofran.  (Trying to get this nonsense under control while enjoying my vacation camping "up north") I am a bit concerned to be on this load of antibotics for this long, not been through this either.
