Post Op Pain

Hi Everyone,

Four weeks ago I had the first stage of J-Pouch surgery. I am still having a good bit of pain in my lower abdomen. The pain is all the way across my abdomen, but it is the worst in the lower right area just below my stoma. It hurts throughout the day, but it is the worst in the morning.

I am probably just being paranoid, I'm just worried that the pain is not going to go way.

So my question is, is it normal to still have pain 4 weeks after the surgery? How long after surgery did your pain last?

I had some pain 4 weeks post op but it wasn't anything severe or that I couldn't handle. Severe pain is never normal and should be addressed right away. If you are really uncomfortable I would get it checkout out.
