ok I had pouchoscopy Thursday afternoon. Everything was basically good, but Thursday night and now tonight I awoke in middle of the night to an underwear full of poop. I used to get an occasional nickel sized spot sometimes but not this. Can this occur from having the prep or scope itself? What the heck?

Yes - it can happen - especially with the symptoms you had before - I know it's horrific, but I would give it a few more days to see if the inflammation calms down. Then, call doc. BTW - I had my upper and lower scope yesterday - have ulcers too now. Yippee. I am so sore from this one - have never had that happen before. I have to go on antibiotics etc. - have had the bleeding, nausea, leakage, weak, tired, on it goes. God, I hope antibiotics work for the ulcers. I, like you, am so sick of this and just so so tired..I usually have a pretty positive attitude- but feeling really exhausted by it all. Poucho - I hope you get out your depends (I just put on big maxi pads when this happened to me) - and always, it went away in the past. Easy to day, but don't panic. (although I panic often - my husband has to listen to it - poor guy!) Let us know how you are doing. Again - I definitely have had this happen in past w/ pouch and post scope a couple of times - and it did settle down and I stopped the nighttime terror of crapping my pants - only happened maybe 3 times over 30 years / pouch.
I didn't have any inflammation. Pouch was clean. Only had a mild prolapse which they were not concerned about. And did not have this issue before the scope?
Well, I can't say for sure -but sometimes, just the fact that you had the scope can then cause inflammation and upset your muscles. It surely did mine on several occasions. And, it resolved itself within about a week. I hope yours does too. I know you are fed up.
I have been good past 2 nights. I popped some immodium and tried to eat earlier in the evening and no accidents.. thanks
So glad last 2 nights have been good. Hope things keep improving for you.
