Hi Gela,
Don't know how old you are but...
I had ovarian cysts while in my 30's...some rather large. They caused a lot of problems (have a k pouch so liquid stools were not a problem for me) including pain, swelling and pouch discomfort that resemble pouchitis, excruciating pain during sex... but I do not remember diarreah.
That said, ovarian cysts wreak havoc on your hormones and cycle and that can cause incredible bowel problems.
When the body releases certain hormones (around your period) most women tend to get runny bowels (the body's way of lightening the body's load before the period and ease the stress).
Most of my non-pouch girlfriends were chronicly constipated and waited for their periods to be able to 'go' and empty out their colons.
Ovarian cysts can cause your body to release more of some hormones and thus put your body into irregular cycles.
Here in France once they had done the surgery to remove the cysts and salpangitis they put me on progesterone for 3 yrs to 'give my ovaries a rest' and I was cystless for the duration.
They did come back once I got off of the hormones but finally disappeared once my periods stopped.
Back then (over 20yrs ago), I was told that if the cysts were not painful then they were not dangerous. Not sure what they say about them thesedays...talk with your gyn and see what can be done...hormone treatments are the easiest way to go if feasible...and you can use a patch or cream to avoid digestive/absorbtion problems.
