Has anyone had a pill cam exam?

I had one done in 2009 and they find it was still in my jpouch in 2014! They haven't been able to get it out and the doctor says that it isn't doing me any harm. I'm concerned that the material that camera is made from wasn't meant to be inside the body for this long. Could is start to deteriorate? I've had pouch inflammation and haven't been feeling well since this thing has been inside but don't know if it is pouchitis or what...

Any advice?

I'd get a second opinion. You probably will need surgery to remove it. That is pobably why they are hesitant.
