Perineal Hernia

Hi all! So I recently have discovered that I have given myself a perineal hernia. It happened at work so I should be well taken care of. I was just wondering if anybody else has had one and how it went. I don't have my rectum anymore so incontinence is not an issue. Is this a minor operation like any other hernia or are things complicated by my medical history?
