Hi. My daughter asked me to post this. Does anyone taking pepcid have loose, burning, frequent bms within a few hours of taking it and then everything quiets down till the next dose 24 hours later? My daughter does not have pouchitis, and was recently scoped and Dr. said the pouch was quiet and looked great. She is taking the pepcid because she can't take the ppi's and a small dose of pepcid helps sometimes with her intestinal pain, post surgery.
She was thinking of taking a pepto tablet along with the pepcid to see if it would help with the frequency, burning that occurs within a hour of taking the pepcid. She does not want to take immodium.

Thank you.
