pelvic mri for perianal fistula

I had a pouchoscopy done today. they found at the focal patch was slightly granular with scattered pinpoint erosions . not sure what that means. he also wants to do a mri of my pelvic to look at my perinel fistual. has anyone had an mri for that? or know what could cause the erosions?

I just had 2 emergency mri's for rectal abscess and fistula. I presented to the ER with intense pain and a funny, ropey bit of tissue on my perineum. The surgeon knew exactly what was going on and I was admitted, started on IV antibiotics, booked for an MRI and then scheduled for the OR for an incision and drainage of the abscess and fistulotomy. The MRI takes about an hour. I'm home now and recovering nicely. Hope never to,have to go through that again.
