If you get to the point where you can not hold down your fluid intake, thus vomiting, seek professional medical attention immediately, otherwise you may dehydrate.

Dehydration to such an extent & during such circumstances can creep up on you, which may and will lead to Kidney failure.

I speak from experience.

Not trying to freak you out or anything. But don't put off going to the doctor if your still in illio stage (like you still have a bag). I speak from experience! I did. I put it off for days! I just kept eating and eating hoping that it would unblock and be better. I was so freaked out about the possibility of having the bag forever (I was 20). By the time I finally gave in and went to the hospital I had days worth of back up. So as soon as they hooked me up to the IV I hosed the whole ER area in puke. Again I am not trying to freak you out! But this led up to one of the worse medical fiasco's of my life. I wont go into details. But the end result was 3 weeks in the hospital, another full open surgery, 3 more months with the bag and a horrible horrible hospital experience! And I should note only 2 weeks of it was at a local hospital. After my father thought it was his fatherly duty to go down to the big awesome facy hospital that originally did my pouch and make a point that they were horribly neglecting me at the local hospital. My surgeon actually drove about 60 miles to be shocked by what kind of shape I was actually in. He had me rushed to the big fancy hospital in a free ambulance, strait into emergency surgery. Where they had to remove a ridiculous amount of my small intestine. And ya....sorry that kind of turned into alittle rant. I really dont mean to freak you out. But its so so so important with this disease to listen to your body.
