So, I have gotten several total and partial blockages in the last year. Doc wants to do a parasite/ova test before a flex/sig. Any idea why?

Parasites don't commonly cause blockages, but they can sure cause a variety of problems. We are just as prone to such intestinal infections as anyone else, but an easy mistake to make with J-pouchers is to forget to check for infections. I'm glad he's thinking outside the pouch.
