Hi folks,

Well since I have 193  eco olive trees here in Catalunya and just completed harvest I'm going to try a tablespoon every morning to see if there is any benefit. Recently I've been taking Ibuprofen for my bad back due to olive harvest and noticed a real improvement in my bms etc. So would be interested to know if anyone else has any information, searching I see that it does possess these qualities but you would think it would make you looser. I'll post my conclusions in a couple of weeks.

Greetings from Catalunya, Spain (or is it?)

Paul

Looks like we had our ileo anal pouches the same year, Paul!

Although I've no experience of using olive oil as an anti-inflammatory, your post did prompt me to carry out a quick Google. And yes, The science appears sound. I'd certainly be interested in knowing whether you find any benefit.  I put my back out in the gym last week and it appears muscular: extra virgin olive oil's on the menu from tomorrow!  Btw. I live in north Costa Blanca.

No benefit at all on taking a tablespoon every morning. Started Turmeric/Curcumin capsules at 400mg but too much gas & butt burn. Back to 250mg Cipro & working well, rotating with Rifaxamine 400mg as of this weekend.

Jan, as the Ibuprofen made a significant improvement to my BMS might it indicate a level of inflammation in the pouch or the gi tract or both? I'm aware not to use it but wanted to see if I had a bad reaction, maybe I can tolerate it in rotation with Cipro & Rifaxamine.

GS, where did you have your surgery? Mine was in Barcelona & very happy with them, still receiving lots of back up, you too?
