Hello everyone!

I'm fairly new to the FAP Forum and this is my second post, regarding hair and nail growth. I know its an odd inquiry just wanted to know if others had experienced it as well. I have noticed all my life I have had trouble growing out my hair even with vitamins intended to strengthen hair and nails. I trim my hair regularly for split ends, never use heat, use good hair products, whatever. (I don't particularly note nail growth issues as its not really a nuisance.)

I have heard from sources that due to polyp growths it may hinder absorption of vitamins and cause issues with hair and nail growth. So, I'm simply curious if anyone else has had difficulties with this.

I feel in a way like I'm blaming this problem on FAP haha, but I don't exactly know where else I could ask this.  Thanks in advance!

Once we have our colons out, absorption is an issue. I never had an issue with hair or nail growth before surgery or after though.

The absorption issue doesn't have anything to do with polyps, per say and in general, unless you have your polyp riddled colon still intact and maybe also have tons of polyps in the remainder of your GI system either....... just my $0.02
