I will be going to NY to see Dr. Shen for pouchoscopy in April.  Previously we've stayed at the Edge Hotel which is very convenient. However, the rate for that hotel in April is almost doubled from last April. We thought maybe we could stay at the Hyatt Fort Lee/George Washington Bridge, but we're not sure how we would get from there to the hospital. We will not have a vehicle & have always rode the subway. Can someone tell us how we could stay over there & still use the subway to get to the hospital? Any other suggestions on where to stay & how to get from point A (hotel) to point B (hospital)? TIA!!

I stay at the Hilton/Homewood Suites  on Glenwood Ave in Teaneck, NJ  - right over the bridge - there's a  Marriott property at the same exit.   I have stayed at the Edge but prefer the reasonable cost of hotel and ease of parking in NJ.  (I drive to the City from 3 hrs North.)

It's a quick Uber or Lyft ride to Dr. Shen's office, though prices for ride service seem to have doubled since last year also.  So when you compare prices for in-town or over the bridge, check out what the Uber would cost, too!

NJ Transit into NYC, then transfer to the subway.
