Does anyone know where I can find a nurtitionist who specializes in diet/nutrition for patients with J-pouch surgery in the SouthWest Florida area?(Naples, FL) No one I've been to seems to know what I should eat, or what foods are easier to digest or cause less acidic bile or anal burning due to enzymes.

You should though try a gluten free diet, since gluten affects the small intestines
I don't think that jpouch nutritionist is needed or would even be practical. Even though we all had the same surgery, we aren't equal when it comes to how our body's are digesting foods. All of this is trial and error and you will need to experiment to find out what works for you. Many people have success with oatmeal; oatmeal does not work for me; it gives me stratospheric frequency. I eat tons of fresh fruits and vegetables but many jpouchers cannot handle much fiber. As for acid there are low acid foods you can eat and there are metamucil wafers you can include in your regime to bind the acid. I can handle lots of gluten and sugar, but cannot eat anything with fake sugar or I get diarrhea. Keep a food log to measure how you are affected and you will learn what helps.

I agree in that everyone is so different it seems one food really can affect one person negatively and be perfectly fine for another.
If there's one thing I'd recommend is try a more paleo approach or atleast gluten free. Asia seems to suffer a lot less GI related diseases than the west and they eat a rice heavy diet so I've incorporated that into my diet regularly and my pouch enjoys it.
example:
Morning: A bannana+probiotic+vitamin d( I like to not eat too much before work instead I have a large lunch I've also read low vitamin d Is usually common in pouchitis patients.)
Lunch time: Large plate of rice with either beef or chicken and a veggie or two, usually this is bok choy, carrots or broccoli. + a probiotic, I use to take a digestive enzyme and beano the first few months and that seemed to help to the point I'm fine without them.
Dinner: Rice+meat, sometimes a veggie but usually fairly light on the veggies this late.
Before bed I take a pepto bismal tablet or two and one immodium.
This is my work week schedule, on days off I will usually eat more diverse foods like sushi, curry, perhaps chips, etc just staying clear of gluten and using rice as my bulk up agent, I also apply penaten zinc barrier fairly often, atleast once a day to my behind to be totally burn free, anyways I'm sure you'll find what works for you, good luck, I'm also only 3 months out and I hope to include more veggies in the future.
