I know mucous is normal and healthy from the butt of a not yet connected jpouch but I have question. My first jpouch I would occasionally have to sit on toilet and expel mucous but since having my pouch redone in October, I have to sit on the toilet several times a day to expel it. Anyone else have this? never bloody, its always whitish or yellow.. I just wonder why its so much every day?

Ever consider the fact that you are older now, compared to your first pouch surgery? Plus, you probably had your complications arising early on the first time. I would think that this different experience is affirmation that you are not repeating the first scenario. If your surgeon is not concerned, you should not be either.

I had the same thing, before the j pouch was built and after it was built prior to connection. My surgeon said it was normal and it was good, meaning the intestines were moving things thru. Once he told me that, I quit worrying!!
