I am losing my longtime doc at CC ( Dr Shen ) he is now going to be 14 hrs away, I live in Illinios and have heard that Northwestern is one of the best for UC/pouch patients. Any recommendations on good docs there, I loved Dr Shen and was traveling to Cleveland because of him but 14hrs is just to much !

Hi Tim,

I go to Northwestern and see Dr. Hanauer. He is really good, though getting an appointment with him as a new patient, expect to wait. Once your established they can get you in fairly quickly. The only other way to get in quicker is to get a referral to him from your doctor. Good luck!
