I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I'm 6.5 years post takedown, and some days my gut still produces considerable noise, and this is not always due to gas or eating certain foods. Other days it's extremely quiet. I've had friends and coworkers comment before, though we've all learned to just laugh it off.
But, there are certain things you can do. If you do have excess gas that you feel is contributing to the noice, you can try probiotics (I've had my best results with Align), or foods that are said to reduce gas, including yogurt, cranberry juice, and buttermilk. Also avoid foods that may cause excess gas. Also keep in mind that skipping meals can actually cause your gut to churn on itself, thus producing increased noise. You might want to have a small snack between meals to keep things at bay. Also, though we are all different, 4 or 6 small meals throughout the day may be better for pouch function than 3 larger ones.
